College of Business banner Business – The AACSB Internationally-accredited undergraduate and graduate programs are designed to help students become more productive citizens, further their careers, and pursue advanced studies within a changing global environment. College of Education banner Education – The College is devoted to excellence in instruction, research and service. It prepares leaders who represent diverse backgrounds and experiences to serve the educational needs of the global community. Undergraduate students spend a significant portion of their professional development courses observing and working with experienced teachers. This field-based program culminates in the student teaching experience, wherein the student is assigned one-on-one with an experienced master teacher and moves from observation, through cooperative teaching, to full responsibility for a class.
College of Liberal Arts banner Liberal Arts – The College prepares students for productive lives in a diverse multicultural world by developing intellectual and creative skills, communication abilities, and critical thinking. A liberal arts education comprises fundamental problem-solving skills and substantive knowledge that can be widely applied. The College excels in its many specialized disciplines, with dedicated faculty committed to teaching, learning, scholarly and creative activity, and service.
College of Nursing and Health Sciences banner Nursing and Health Sciences – The College focuses on educating the health care providers of today and leaders of tomorrow through the delivery of excellent educational programs in the professions of nursing and health sciences. Students cultivate basic and specialized abilities needed to successfully pursue a career. The College promotes a sense of community and caring, with faculty contributing to community service, leadership, practice and research as experts and advocates.

College of Science and Engineering banner Science and Engineering – As one of the foremost institutions for coastal, marine and environmental research, and home to the Harte Research Institute for Gulf of Mexico Studies, the College offers programs in basic and applied sciences to support the technical requirements of the nation’s post-industrial society. The Geographic Information Science program, accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering Technology and the Applied Science Accreditation Commission, is the only such program in Texas.
