Scholarships

• Be accepted to a degree or certificate seeking program
• Have at least a 3.0 GPA
• Meet University minimum enrollment requirements.
  • At least 6 semester credit hours (SCH) of graduate level courses during the fall and spring semesters.
  • At least 3 SCH of graduate level courses during the combined summer term.
    • Other colleges/programs may have additional requirements (see below)
• Required Enrollment Status by Academic College:
  • Colleges of Science and Engineering students must enroll in 9 SCH of graduate level courses during fall and spring semesters and 3 SCH during the combined summer terms.
  • College of Business online students enrolling in mini-terms must enroll in 3 SCH of graduate level courses each mini-term to receive the full scholarship.  Students will receive half of the award amount in each mini-term within a semester.  For example:
    • A $1000 scholarship for a Fall semester will be awarded $500 mini-term 1 and $500 mini-term 2.

• Upon submission, your application will be reviewed by the appropriate committee and ranked based on your GPA, academic record, essay, evidence of leadership, research and/or other accomplishments related to your degree and other criteria.

Note: Scholarships will be awarded based on the grades received by the review date. Number of awards and amounts are subject to availability.

• You will receive an email notification of your status approximately 2-5 weeks after the scholarship deadline to the email address provided on your application.
• Scholarships are applied in full in the semester for which award is made. 
• You can view any financial aid and scholarships that are offered to you (after you are accepted) in your SAIL account.
• Scholarship monies are automatically applied to your tuition bill and generally posted the day before tuition is due. Refunds are coordinated through our University's Business Office and processed through BankMobile.

You are eligible to apply for a scholarship if you are a new or returning graduate student in a degree or certificate program.

Students must at least meet these requirements to be awarded a scholarship:

  • PLEASE NOTE: Scholarship recipients in the College of Science and Engineering must enroll in 9 SCH during regular semesters and 3 SCH during the combined summer term.

Yes, you must be accepted to the university, and already be accepted to a degree or certificate seeking program. 

Upon submission, your application will be reviewed by the appropriate committee and ranked based on your GPA, academic record, essay, evidence of leadership, research and/or other accomplishments related to your degree, and other criteria.

How will I be notified if I am/am not awarded a scholarship?

You will receive an email notification of your status approximately 2-5 weeks after the scholarship deadline to the email address provided on your application. Also, you can view any financial aid and scholarships that are offered to you (after you are accepted) in your SAIL account

Scholarship applications must be submitted by 11:59 pm CST the end of business day of the posted deadline. If additional scholarship funds are made available to any program, prospective applicants will be notified of same.

• Completing the scholarship application on the Graduate Studies website will allow you to be considered for most donor based scholarships if funding becomes available. However, links for alternate scholarships will be posted on our Home page or the Scholarships website when available.
