Council of Graduate Schools

The Council of Graduate Schools (CGS) is dedicated to the improvement and advancement of graduate education.  Its members are colleges and universities engaged in research, scholarship and the preparation of candidates for advanced degrees.  As the largest national association organized specifically to represent the interests of graduate education, CGS offers many opportunities for deans and graduate school personnel to exchange ideas and share information on major issues in graduate education.  More than 800 U.S., Canadian and international institutions are represented in the CGS membership.
